Having your cake and eating it, too.

Rob and I spent our first night down at the house on Saturday. After our new couch was delivered(Crate and Barrel), we spent the rest of the day running errands in the plethora of nearby strip malls. Ahh New Jersey and its convenience!! We are digging it. After living in cities for 5 years, it is so lovely to be able to drive to a store, park your car, get a cart, grab your necessities, then bring your shopping cart back to your car and leave. The process here in Brooklyn is quite different, and involves a significant amount of adversity and certainly a good deal of aggravation. Saturday night we bought some new pillows (BB and B), some organic lovelies for dinner (whole foods),cooked it in our newly purchased microwave (best buy), and lit a great smelling candle (pier 1).

The mattress of our new sofa bed is called "The Cloud", and I have to say it was quite comfortable for a sleeper! Any future guests of ours should feel secure in knowing they will have a great place to lay their heads. Sunday we lounged in the morning and then had a scrumptious lunch at a well known chain restaurant(see if you can guess). The main reason we like to go there is for the chips and salsa(rob), and the heavenly dessert shown above(me). Then back to Brooklyn for the work week and the Grammys last night. We are ecstatic that The Police "are back" and I absolutely love Justin Timberlake so much. It's been a while since I've had a pop crush but ever since the holiday SNL I've been in deep for JT. He is such a cutie with those baby blues and slick dance moves!! His one major fault is that he used to date Britney and may very well have taken her virginity... EW GROSS!!
